About the Author
Armando Minutoli began his writing journey with a deeply personal non-fiction work titled Medjugorje, A Pilgrim’s Journey, chronicling the apparitions of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the village of Medjugorje—then part of Yugoslavia, now Bosnia-Herzegovina. Originally published in 1991 with a foreword and collaboration by author John Westermann (Exit Wounds), the book was re-released in 2010 due to popular demand.
He later turned to fiction with The Hester Street Kids, a gripping drama-thriller set in the 1950s that explores moral choices through the lens of mob life, territorial lust, betrayal, and the unspoken codes of family and crime. The novel evokes raw emotion through firsthand encounters with violence, secrecy, and survival.
Minutoli’s third book, SCHISM: Something Is Amiss in Heaven Again!, ventures into spiritual fantasy, imagining a celestial crisis that challenges the very order of Heaven. His body of work also includes screenplay adaptations for SCHISM, The Hester Street Kids, and Be Not Afraid.
In addition to his books, he has contributed articles to the National Catholic Register and written extensively on Marian apparitions for local publications in Long Island, NY. He currently serves as PR Coordinator for Region Six of the Florida State Knights of Columbus, editing articles for 26 Palm Beach councils, while also fulfilling his role as Faith Director for his local council.
Minutoli holds a Bachelor of Science in Social Welfare with a minor in Psychology, and a Master of Science in Clinical Social Work from Fordham University’s School of Social Service, with a focus on psychodynamic psychotherapy.
